Week 3, Term 3

This week we planted some seeds in a big pot on our nature table. Erin kept it a secret what the seeds will grow into so we have to wait and see! We took turns looking at the seeds and holding them. Then we planted them in the pot using a trowel and gave them a big drink of water. They are going to live on our nature table. We also put a seed in a jar with some tissue paper and water so we can watch the seed start to grow.

"It looks like a Jelly Bean" - Eloise

"It looks like a tiger!" - Rhys

"It might grow a sunflower" - Casey

"The black seed might grow a black flower" - Becky

"I think the black seed will turn into a blackberry and the other seed will grow an acorn tree" - Aiden

"We need to the seeds some water" - Miguel

During brainfood we spend ten minutes having a healthy snack while we listen to a story, share news, watch learning related videos (butterfly life cycle, phonics/letter sounds, addition facts) or sing songs. We have been singing nursery rhymes as these help us learn about rhythm and rhyme in reading. A clear favourite is 'Sing a Rainbow'. Below is a little clip of the Zoom Room singing along.
